20 Years 20 Stories – Phil Reynolds
As we proudly celebrate our 20th anniversary this year as one of the UK’s most established peer-led, education and skills-based learning organisations, we shine a light on Phil Reynolds, our Regional Manager for the Midlands, the East and the South and his 13th year work anniversary. Read what Phil said about his experience working with ITS below.
“I am filled with immense pride to mark my own 13-year work anniversary with this incredible company this week. What began 13 years ago as an apprenticeship as a course tutor with ITS has evolved into a rewarding career, culminating in my current role as one of the senior leaders on the strategic management board. My career development over these last 13 years is a testament to the profound impact ITS has had on someone who once believed life was no longer worth living.
For me, ITS represents more than just a workplace, it is a life-changing experience every single day. ITS not only equipped me with the essential skills and knowledge to overcome a 16-year struggle with poor choices around drug use, but it also provided an extraordinary opportunity to build a meaningful career. Being part of a team that truly makes a difference in people’s lives is, and will always be humbling, motivating, and inspiring.
What sets ITS apart is its unwavering commitment to the values and principles that underpin everything we do. It’s never just about what we do, it’s about the ‘why’ we do it! The purpose behind our work motivates me to start each day with a smile and such a positive energy, knowing our efforts have a profound impact on individuals and our communities.
Beyond the day to day support we provide to those in need, I am privileged to play a role in recruiting, nurturing, and developing our teams. Watching our organisation grow across various sectors and witnessing the ripple effect of positive change fuels my passion and excitement for my continued career with ITS.
As we celebrate this 20-year milestone, I continue to remind myself that ITS isn’t just any organisation, it is a testament to resilience, transformation, and the power of believing that people can and do change for the better in life. I am living, breathing evidence of that myself as are so many of our wonderful team.
