Drink and Drugs News Conference 2023
Our Community Development team attended the Drink and Drugs News conference in Birmingham on July 13th, a gathering focussed on building strong and effective partnerships, tackling stigma, and offering practical advice in areas such as overdose prevention, blood-borne viruses, family support, brief interventions and personalised treatment.
The sessions at the conference focused on tackling stigma through direct action and campaigns, a belief we strongly uphold at ITS. They also shed light on creating effective partnerships between people with lived experience, commissioners and services.
It was wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces and establish new relationships with local community services and people who use them.
We’re excited to see everyone at the next one and continue these important conversations.
