Our Mission, Vision, & Values
We believe that independence from endless support is the enduring aspiration of all adults. Our Mission, Vision, and Values are based upon empowering through education, creating opportunities, building relationships, understanding needs, and providing a better service.
Our Mission: “to empower people through education to take back control of their lives
Our Vision: “to create opportunities where everybody has the knowledge and skills to become valued and contributing members of their communities”
Our Values:
Co-production is a continual process whereby we re-evaluate our work and test whether it is still fit for purpose. Involving learners, their families, colleagues and commissioners is critical to ensuring we have both understood and are addressing the needs we set out to.
We ensure our work is relevant and addresses the needs it is designed for, by engaging individuals, communities and stakeholders in meaningful discussions. For far too long the needs of services have overshadowed the needs of individuals and communities and this is a culture we want to change.
Effective communication is right at the heart of our work. We develop honest and trusting relationships with colleagues, partners and learners to ensure that we work with integrity. As community builders, we care deeply about people and communities.
It is our care for communities that motivates us to work as hard as we do. The health, prosperity and happiness of people, their families and children push us to overcome obstacles and take on challenges that can often be perceived as overwhelming. If we work together as a community we can all ensure that no one is left behind.
Our work is progressive and continually developing using the latest evidence and science. We promote a culture of independence rather than requiring people to continually depend on us.
Not only are we improving our methods, we are continually improving the customer’s journey ensuring that people feel welcome, safe, valued and stretched within their limits to get the most out of themselves.
We continue to develop means to ensure that our work is accessible to all regardless of age, cultural background, class, disability, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, faith, language or health status. We will strive to remove conditions which place people at a disadvantage and will actively challenge bigotry and discrimination.
