Portsmouth success
I realised that I consistently and with massive determination had been training my brain to believe that cannabis was my essential, survival need. During this course I felt like I switched a reset button in my attitude, not only when it comes to cannabis but everything else that does not serve me.
I understand I need to deal with life like everyone else and my emotions make me human. Rather than supressing them I use them as my source of inspiration.”
JM started using Cannabis initially as a source of creativity for his work and social connection. However, as usage increased, cannabis became less of a creative tool and more of an obsession, leading to frustration, anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thoughts.
Despite seeking help from drug treatment services and attending support groups, JM struggled often falling back into old habits.
Then JM was introduced to Intuitive Recovery.
JM said: “I came to the class with a poor attitude, but the tutor did not give up on me; from the very first moment she challenged my beliefs and that was instantly from when I first opened my mouth. I was shocked, but also felt important. Without me realising it at first, I was being heard. What got me to stay in this class till the end was the simple, clear and upbeat delivery, the scientific approach to addiction and practical skills and tools were a game changer for me.
